Press Release
Second community screening follows summer's full-house turnout; evening includes games for kids ahead of the film
For Immediate Release
SURPRISE, Ariz. — Following a packed theater at its first community movie night this summer, Experience Church has announced its next free family event: a screening of Coyote vs. Acme on Thursday, September 10 at FatCats in Surprise. The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with fun and games for kids in the theater, with the film to follow.
The event is free, but seating is limited — participants must register online through Experience Church to reserve their place, and every member of a party must be registered individually.
In Coyote vs. Acme, Wile E. Coyote has finally had enough: after decades of exploding rockets and faulty contraptions that never quite catch the Road Runner, he's taking the ACME Corporation to court. The live-action/animated comedy offers laughs across every generation — nostalgia for the grandparents, mayhem for the kids.
For Experience Church, the movie nights are about more than entertainment. Thousands of families have relocated to Surprise and the West Valley in recent years — and many of them are searching for a new church home, a task the church says is harder than it sounds.
"Finding a new church isn't an easy feat in today's society," said Dennis Cummins, Lead Pastor of Experience Church. "Families are asking real questions: What do they believe? Will my family be accepted? Will my kids fit in? These movie nights are a middle-ground opportunity — a chance for families to come together, celebrate, and get to know the heart of Experience Church before they ever hear the preaching."
The first movie night, a screening of Young Washington, filled the theater and introduced dozens of families to the church — many of whom now attend Sunday services and call Experience Church Surprise their church home.
Though new to Arizona, Experience Church brings more than thirty years of ministry history. Founded and led by Pastor Dennis Cummins and his wife, Lori, the church has served the South Hill community of Washington State for three decades. The Surprise congregation meets Sundays at 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. in the Performing Arts Center at Willow Canyon High School, with a Preview Service on September 27 and Grand Opening on Sunday, October 4.
